PRODUCTION SPECIFICATIONS


Digital Advertising


Print File Information

Numedx will accept your ad layout in a digital file format. We encourage digital files over traditional film because of the higher quality of the advertisement in the printed journal.

Instructions:

Desktop Instructions
  • Build pages to trim size and extend bleed beyond page edge .25 inches.
  • Do not use Stylized Fonts
  • All elements must be placed at 100% size and at 300dpi
  • Avoid rotation and cropping of images in layout program
  • Include all fonts, images/scans, logos/artwork
  • do not nest EPS files in other EPS files
  • All images/scans must be in CMYK mode
  • Four-color solids should not exceed SWOP density of 300%
  • Supply Quark "Collect for Output" report
Line Screen:
  • Line Screen for any cover is 150
  • Line Screen for the text (any inside page) is 133
Additional Instructions
  • Single page image area should be no more than trim plus bleed
Content and Position Proofs
  • Supply hard copy proofs that match each supplied digital file. Color proofs are preferred.
  • Proofs must be provided at 100% size

Web File Information

Banners
The banner is an animated gif 181 pixels wide and 100 high created by using the submitted sponsor's logos and icons.

Banner Ads

Banner ads may be gifs or jpgs and should be 181 pixels wide x 100 pixels high. They should include NO transparent areas and should be NO larger than 32K. They should be a single frame only (no animated gifs without prior approval).

Logos, & Icon Hyper Links

Logos

Logos may be gifs or jpgs NO larger than 220 pixels wide x 45 pixels high. If they are not in box form, they should be gifs with transparent backgrounds. They will be displayed on a white background. They should be no larger than 16k.
